From early until late
Join us for a joyful, all-day community celebration of Bealltainn, marking the turning of the year and the arrival of summer.
Rooted in local land, seasonal traditions and shared celebration, the Kilchrenan Bealltainn Festival will bring together music, making, movement, food and fire, with something to enjoy for everyone.
This is a relaxed, family-friendly festival shaped by the community, with contributions from local practitioners, artists, craftspeople and guides, and plenty of space to dip in and out as suits you.
The festival will move through the day, beginning in the morning with quiet, grounding activities like yoga and breakfast picnics, and building towards an evening fire celebration as the light fades.
Across the day you can expect:
Land-based activities — walks, seasonal knowledge and nature connection
Wellbeing & gentle movement — welcoming the light half of the year
Shared food & fellowship — informal, bring-and-share moments
Creative making spaces — especially for children and families
Music, rhythm and play — drumming, song and celebration
Traditional Bealltainn fire lighting — marking renewal, protection and community
Evening gathering & procession — stories, music and firelight through the village
Some activities will be guided, others informal and spontaneous — you’re welcome to come for the whole day or simply join for the parts that call to you.
Some events are restricted by number. Please find below the booking links for these sessions:
